Because we believe in our vision of "Do well - do good", we have created
DocAfrika for people that think like us. We want to support projects and people globally, work
intensively with them and make a difference. Hence, instead of funding some add-on to huge projects,
we would rather go after those where little can achieve much, i.e. where our help will ensure
that they get done in the first place.
The idea for DocAfrika was born on Christmas and the underlying principles
are deeply rooted in the Christian belief to love your neighbor as yourself.
What does that mean? Yes, the founders of DocAfrika were Christians, but that does not mean we
limit membership to certain beliefs. Everybody can join and help, no matter why and what their
background. Since interception, we have gladly welcomed people with other religious views or
without any.
Also, the majority of our contribution goes to humanitarian causes, but from time to
time we will also support animals around the globe. As humans, we also need to care for other
creatures in this world that we are directly or indirectly responsible for. Also, again,
DocAfrika mirrors what we as individuals have supported for a long time already, and we have always
kept aside something for Nature.
